Say hi to Matt! Here supporting customers since 2013.

Matt, What is your role with MediMatrix? I started out my journey as a customer support specialist but recently have taken the lead as our customer success specialist.

How long have you been with MediMatrix? 10 years, 2 months, and 18 days! But who’s counting? 😉

Which colleagues at MediMatrix have you worked with the longest? Started out working pretty closely with Karrie getting acclimated with the system. As I’ve learned and progressed I started learning other areas of the system alongside Ken and Diana.

What is your favorite part about this job? I have two answers here. First, my colleagues. We’ve seen a lot of change in the industry over the past 10 years, yet our core team is essentially the same. We adapt and we do what it takes to get the job done for our customers. Speaking of customers, that is my second answer to this questions. I enjoy working with our customers. I am a “people person” by nature, and I appreciate the customer relationships that have been forged over the years. Who says you can’t make friends solely by email or phone?

What was your favorite subject in school? Anything related to history.

If you had to teach a class on one thing or subject, what would that be? Technology in American culture. I think it would blend my love of history alongside what I already do today. It would be interesting to dive into how our lives have changed with modern advancements and the outcomes of these changes.

What is your favorite past time activity? I have 3 kids. I no longer have any past time activities or hobbies! I pretty much spend all of my “free time” coaching or chauffeuring kids to and from practice. If you’re looking for me, it’s a good chance you’ll find me on a baseball or softball field or basketball courts. If I our customers ever hear I’m taking time off work for “vacation,” they should know that’s really code for “I’m traveling somewhere for a tournament.” But it’s fun to participate and watch the kids do something they love.

Finally, seeing as your a people person, we have to know. Would you ever try standup? Formally, maybe. Informally, it’s on display almost daily. With that said, it’s clear now to me that I must not be very funny, otherwise I probably wouldn’t be here, answering these questions!
