A Letter From Our MediMatrix Founder: Looking Ahead

If you were to ask me in 2002, “Where do you see yourself in 20 years?”, I could not have fathomed it would be as CTO of MediMatrix, a leading SaaS company for portable radiology companies across the United States.

My Co-Founder, Brad Nelson, and I started MediMatrix not knowing where it would lead. We looked at the industry and saw an opportunity to create a solution for portable providers to manage their business and help them provide better service to patients in need, which is really at the core of our company.  It’s been really fulfilling to see the business concept come to life, watching it grow and adapt to industry changes.

The MediMatrix solution, however, could not be where it is today without our exceptional and dedicated team. It is rare to find determined and like-minded people who share a common vision. Brad and I have both worked very hard on building the right team and have been very fortunate with the people we’ve hired. Many of our team members have been with us on this journey for over 10 years, which in today’s world is a lifetime. When it comes to patient health, there are no 9-5 working hours and our team is here, day in and day out, supporting our clients in all aspects of their business.

Speaking of our customers, you are some of the hardest and most determined business owners I have ever come across. You understand the mobile imaging industry better than anyone else and we have always valued your insight when it comes to improving the MediMatrix solution. It’s been exciting to work with you all on different ideas and see them come to life.

I’m so grateful I’ve been able to be involved in the evolution of MediMatrix from where we started to where we are today, and after a great deal of reflection, it’s time for me to pass the torch to our leadership team. Our team has such a diverse set of assets that I am confident will revolutionize MediMatrix beyond what I ever could have imagined. As I step back to spend more time with my family, our VP of Engineering, Anuj Rohatgi, will be moving into the CTO role. In his time with MediMatrix as VP of Engineering, he has implemented so much more than I could have thought possible over the last year. And while a lot of the transformations made so far are on the backend that many do not see, he has set us up to scale and quickly accommodate improvements to the platform. I have no doubt that he will propel our platform to a new level.

This company, our team, and all of our clients have been my focus for 20 years. This isn’t a decision I take lightly, but it’s the right one — both for me and for MediMatrix. And as the business evolves, I know that our clients and their patients are in good hands with our team, my colleagues, my friends.
