Las Vegas, NV - This past October MediMatrix exhibited at the annual National Association of Portable X-ray Providers (NAPXP) at the Flamingo convention center in Las Vegas. This event is held annually to educated and inform portable xray providers across the United States on various topics including practices, billing rules and industry trends. MediMatrix was eager to showcase several enhancements that were made to their services application this past year.

Solidifying Business: MediMatrixEMR services securely connects the MediMatrix system to facility's EMR/EHR using HL7 integration technologies. This service seamlessly transmits orders and receives reports all while lowering daily operating expenses and improving overall client communications. *routing options dependent on EMR/EHR capabilities.

Superior Technologies: MediMatrix's new Zero Footprint non diagnostic dicom viewer was developed using HTML5 technologies. This viewer does not require any Java Applets, Flash programs, Apps or plugins to be purchased, downloaded or updated prior to viewing. Clinicians, Nurses and Technologists can securely and immediately access patients images whether from a laptop, desktop or mobile device. In addition to the new web-viewer, the MediMatrix eSign feature was introduced. this feature will allow ordering doctors to review and electronically sign off on exams and ultimately archiving the document long-term to access at any time in MediMatrix.

Strengthening Billing: Changes in Medicare billing was a hot topic at this year's convention, one of them being the change from 4010 to 5010 electronic billing format. MediMatrix system was tested and 5010 compliant as of the original mandated date of January 1, 2012. They had updated this service at no fee or additional costs to their clients to ensure providers were able to bill and collect in a timely manner. In addition to the 5010 billing changes, the integrated insurance verification tool was implemented into the MediMatrix medical billing module. Clients receive a real-time eligibility response directly in MediMatrix and are able to view demographic information, patient coverage and other pertinent information for billings.
